Basic DDOS Protection
A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) is a type of DOS attack where multiple compromised systems, which are often infected with a Trojan, are used to target a single system causing a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.
Types of DDoS attacks
Traffic- It is flooding attack which is used to send the huge volume of TCP, UDP and ICMP packets.
Bandwidth - It will overload the target with massive amounts of junk data.
Application - The data messages can delete resources in the application layer, leaving the target system’s services unavailable.
DDoS Protection methods
- Black-Hole Routing: Black-Hole routing is a method of preventing the DDoS attacks, It will limit the traffic and provide the basic firewall protection.
- Scrubbing Center: It is a centralized data cleaning station traffic to the website and analyze the traffic as SQL injection, DDoS, and other known exploits) will be removed.
